Leinoti - Lugia form by DragonFeeder Leinoti - Lugia form by DragonFeeder
A birthday gift art for :iconleinoti:, though it's still a little early (his birthday is 15th March), but it's always nice to get something in advance. :) I hope you like it!

I made him look kinda big and shiny, but I believe that the outcome looks great and he looks happy.
The background is what it is.. :D I suck at drawing backgrounds. :P

Can you help me lay on his tummy? Do you think you can attract me, Lugia?

Do you think there's enough room for me to lay on his tummy? And can you be him?

OMG, he's so fatty and so cute. *climbs on top of Lugia's belly* Hey, Lugia, your belly feels so fluffy and so comfy. I admire your chubiness, would you mind if I take a Nap on your belly? *falls asleep on Lugia's belly*

Nice work, man, you're so talented. ^_^

Cool. The more he weight, the cutest he gets. Hey, what's your Lugia's favorite food and do you mind if I feed him to increase his weight?

Watch other pics and learn from them, make your own doodle book, where you can practise your drawing skills, try drawing something that someone else has drawn, use it as model and draw it yourself in your doodle book, try out diffrent drawing styles and different colouring styles, practise using your drawing program, exaggerate sometimes to see the result :D and practise! :)

I'm desent at free hand, but have no scannar and use the touch pad on my laptop to do the stuff, so for now, the only thing i can get advice on without getting new equiptment is shading and such. thanks for responding, That's a good idea, thanks.

I don't have scanner either, so I use my digital camera to take picture of my hand drawn sketches and then use my drawing program to draw over it. I admit that scanner would be better, but this works just fine. :)
In shading it would be good to chose where the light would come and then shade the areas that would normally be darker, like under the chin or the characters edges. Changing the shadows tune makes it look the more realistic. After looking your pics I could say that know pretty well how to shade. :)

I haven't never tested it so I can't say. I use photoshop CS3, it's really awesome, but it can be a little hard to use it at first. It has really many different options and functions and works great. :) But it's not free. :( I quess that elements is kinda similar to CS, but doesn't have as many functions as CS has.
